At The Drinks Lab they help others create innovative craft drinks, by night they develop their own! This experimental bottling was 4 years on the making, eventually being released in small batches.
A cask of single malt whisky was selected for its light, creaminess and notes of orange zest and fudge and the mission was on to partner it with a rum that would complement it. 18 batches of recipe testing later and a rum with delicate notes of raspberry and cinnamon was chosen. The two were then married together, 60% rum, 40% single malt, before bottling at their headquarters in the outskirts of Glasgow.
Tasting Notes: cinnamon, ginger and cloves with hints of vanilla and orange blossom lead on to a long and lingering finish.
Bottled at 42% abv.
